Single Motherhood

August 7 | 11:00am—12:30pm

Panel with Erica Dickerson, Zoila Darton, Jameela Jackson & Arista Ilona

5259 Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019

When I became a single mother at five months pregnant, I had no idea what I was in for. Now, raising a six month old baby on my own, there was no way I could go all way to LA from New Zealand without stopping by LOOM to see my girl Erica Chidi Cohen and rally together a TALK about what being a single mom means. Not only with other single mothers, but with women who want to support the single moms in their life. This is the hardest job, isn’t it ladies? Which is why gatherings like this are important. It is through the strength of other women that I am raising my son, and I want this to be an opportunity us to lean on each other.

Our panel on August 7th will feature:

erica2 Erica Dickerson
Host, Good Moms, Bad Choices & single mom

zoila Zoila Darton
Founder, WORD Agency & raised by a single mom

Jameela Jackson
Founder, Hustle x Glow & Director, Startup Grind Hollywood & single mom

Arista Ilona
Founder, Divine Modern Motherhood & single mom

We’ll be talking about:

• How we refuse to let our circumstances define us.
• The struggles that no-one likes to talk about, that should be talked about.
• Asking for help: what we need from the people in our circle.

You will love this if you:

• Are a single mom, was raised by a single mom, have single mom friends, or just want to come and show some love. All are welcome!
